What can ClearTVM calculate?

ClearTVM includes TVM, loan and mortgage, savings and annuity, and uneven cash-flow NPV/IRR solvers. Every card on the home screen opens with a complete example that can be calculated immediately.

Why is a result negative?

Financial equations use opposite signs for money received and money paid. A negative payment usually means cash leaving you. The result card labels the direction and preserves the signs used in the calculation.

What are P/Y and C/Y?

P/Y is the number of payments per year. C/Y is the number of compounding periods per year. They can be different. ClearTVM keeps both visible so a result never depends on a hidden calculator setting.

What do BEGIN and END mean?

END means each payment occurs at the end of a period. BEGIN means it occurs at the start. This timing can materially change an annuity result, so ClearTVM shows it with both the inputs and the saved evidence.

What is free?

All four solvers, formulas, substituted values, timelines, checks, and text sharing are free. You may save up to three calculation snapshots. ClearTVM Unlimited is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited saves, side-by-side scenario comparison, and complete evidence PDFs. There is no subscription.

How do I restore ClearTVM Unlimited?

Open the seal button at the top right of the home screen and tap Restore purchases. Purchases are tied to the Apple ID used with the App Store.

Where are saved calculations stored?

Saved calculations remain locally on the device. There is no ClearTVM account or cloud database. Text and PDF exports are created only when you request them and shared through the iOS share sheet.

Can ClearTVM give financial advice?

No. It provides education and calculation support only. Loan approval, investment, tax, and legal decisions should be checked with an appropriately qualified professional.
